LEON CAMIER LOOKS FORWARD TO DONINGTON PARK IN 2011
World Superbike Championship contender Leon Camier has expressed his delight at the inclusion of Donington Park into the 2011 race calendar. The 24 year old who claimed victory at the Leicestershire circuit in 2009, is looking forward to performing in front of the British crowd on two occasions, as the Championship visits Donington Park on March 25/26/27 and then Silverstone on July 29/30/31.
Currently preparing for his second full World Superbike season with Championship holder Aprilia, Leon commented “I’m really looking forward to racing at Donington Park again; it’s such a legendary track.
“We had a good win there in 2009 on the way to taking the British Superbike Championship title, and I’ve always enjoyed riding there. But the biggest thing for me is being able to go out there and race in front of the British fans twice in a season. The support I had at Silverstone this year was unbelievable. Looking around and seeing all of the Camier T-shirts, the cheers from the crowd and the reception we had when we stood on the podium, are all things I will never forget, so to be able to experience that twice will be fantastic.”
